New Ladder

One October day in 2013 General Secretary Kim Jong Un of the Workers’ Party of Korea visited the Munsu Water Park. Quite pleased that the people were enjoying themselves in the park, he approached a water slide in the open-air area of the park. While casting a loving glance at the people who were pleasantly dashing down the slide, he noticed something. He said that not a few people were failing to reach the bottom of the slide while coming down it.
Only after hearing his words, the accompanying officials noticed many of the people jump down to the bottom halfway on the slide.
Now the General Secretary advised to set something like a ladder halfway in the flat section of the slide so that those who could not reach the bottom of the slide might step down sideways.
This was how a small ladder was fixed to the middle of the flat section of the water slide later. It was not so high or conspicuous, yet it was a sign of the ennobling view of the General Secretary who attaches top and absolute priority to the comfort and interest of the people.
