Meticulous Care

One August day in 2015, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the newly-built Pyongyang Old People’s Home.
Feasting his eyes on the gable-roofed building, he said that the building looked like a fine art work, adding that he would look round the interior and exterior of the building even though it might take time.
When he went to the entrance, he looked at the floor of the entrance covered with polished granite, and told the officials to cover the floor with artificial flooring so that the elderly would not feel slippery.
The officials paid attention only to the architectural beauty of the building, thinking that the granite-covered floor looked wonderful.
But Kim Jong Un, who prioritizes the convenience of the people, realized at first sight that the floor might be slippery for the elderly.
The officials felt ashamed that though they thought they had done their best, they had failed to live up to his noble view of people.
They realized once again that whenever dealing with anything, Kim Jong Un considers convenience and interests of the people first.
