Infinite Care
Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the then Academy Science on January 11, 1999. Having looked round all institutes of the academy, he fell into deep thought for a while, his eyes fixed at a spot, without getting on his car.
Presently he, pointing to an apartment building, asked if scientists were provided with a proper heating system in the cold winter. Officials present on the occasion were all moved to hear the kind-hearted words of the leader who was so concerned about the living conditions of the scientists even when he was leaving the academy.
After his visit the Unjong Science District had honour after honour. One February day alone gifts from the Chairman were presented to the scientists on three occasions, exciting the whole academy boundlessly. And in December that year hundreds of high-class suits were given to the scientists, moving the whole academy into a whirl of happiness. The care of the Chairman knew no bound, indeed.
