Creators of the Spirit of the Times Trained 

  In January some 30 years ago Chairman Kim Jong Il inspected Jagang Province braving the rigours of the mid-winter. After visiting a number of units like newly built minor power stations and other industrial establishments, he said that he was convinced through his visit to the province that he was right in his intention and decision to put the province in the lead in the effort to bring the Arduous March to an end. Then he earnestly said that the people of Jagang Province were showing through their practical model how the Party had to be supported in the prevailing hard time.
Hearing him the officials felt quite moved. They knew all the achievements were the fruition of the Chairman’s great trust in and care for the people of the province.
Presently the leader highly praised the ennobling fighting spirit of the local people, saying that they had built minor power stations with their own efforts while going hungry in the time of the Arduous March, instead of lamenting over their difficulty.
