Along a Bus Route in Pyongyang
One early morning dozens of years ago a car was cruising along street after street passing bus stops. Chairman Kim Jong Il was in it. An accompanying official asked him to have a rest as he had worked through the night.
Looking into his watch, Kim Jong Il said the most crowded time was still further off. Then, he asked to drive the car along another bus route.
The sun rose and the number of people going to work was increasing, but there was not a scene of people waiting for the bus in a long queue.
Feeling relieved, Kim Jong Il said in a pleased voice that the passenger transport in the capital city seemed to be a little convenient now, which had been a trouble for the working people on their way to work. He added that President Kim Il Sung might feel relieved now, and that he liked such a morning very much as it might bring pleasure to the President.
