New Look of Socialist Rural Community
One day Chairman Kim Jong Il inspected the Naedong Plain in Kangnyong County. The plain was spectacular as it had been completely rezoned into standard sizes of plot.
Marveling at the picture-like plain, he said that was just an example of revolution.
The old small clusters of paddy patches had been transformed into large, square plots of standard sizes in months, less than a year, so it felt more wonderful.
The realigned field was really fantastic, said the Chairman, and told to an official: I wonder why artists aren’t here to make a picture of this place. It would be a masterpiece if they make a picture of the landscape here when they transplant rice seedlings in the rezoned field.
Later a lot of artists went to realigned fields across the country, including the Naedong Plain, to paint pictures of the completely changed fields of cooperative farms. And they were all rated as masterpieces as the new landscape developed by the Chairman was more than that of a fairyland.
