Position as Important as Height 1211

Scores of years ago President Kim Il Sung gave on-the-spot guidance to the then Hwanghae Iron Works, proposing specific ways to put the production of iron and steel on a normal basis.
As he did in the morning, so he worked hard in the afternoon, too; he presided an enlarged meeting of the Workers’ Party of Korea committee of the steel workshop, where he said that to hit the target of steel production was as important as to take a height in a war. He declared that the employees of the works were in the same important position as Height 1211 during the Fatherland Liberation War, that they were the same fighters as those of the People’s Army on Height 1211, and that they should therefore struggle like the People’s Army soldiers on Height 1211.
His words of succinct explanation of the position and importance of the steel sector in the development of the independent national economy struck a responsive chord with those present at the meeting.
