On His Visit to Suphung Power Station

One September day in 1955 the respected Comrade Kim Il Sung inspected the Suphung Power Station, when he looked into different places for long hours.
It was near the lunch hour, when he headed for a village of the workers. Dropping in at a worker’s house which looked shabby, he, seeing the poor livelihood, was worried that the officials were little concerned for the workers’ living condition.
A managing officer of the power station told the President that they would build a lot of good houses for the workers. Hearing his words, the leader asked to fulfil his promise without fail.
The President also looked into the hostel of the workers. Tasting the soup for the workers and learning how subsidiary foods were supplied, he told to provide a lot of nutritious foods.
Encouraged by his fatherly care, the workers of the station performed a great feat, thus accomplishing the huge task of restoration of the station in a short span of time.
This story shows that if they are to encourage the masses of the people to make innovations the officials should adopt the popular method and style of work established by the President and look after the living condition of the workers like a mother would do.
