“We Serve the People!”
On April 19, 2015, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station.
While learning in detail about its construction, he asked about the issue of housing construction for the residents who had been evacuated because of the project.
At that time, the issue was allocated to a relevant province, so the officials and commanding officers of the youth shock brigade were not paying due attention to it.
Learning about this, Comrade Kim Jong Un took a measure to finish the housing construction by the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea on the strength of army-people joint operations. And he stressed: As Chairman Kim Jong Il always said, all the grand monumental edifices we build should be the structures for the good of the people.
That day, he said that the youth shock brigade should also take the lead in solving the issues related to improving the people’s living standards and easing the strain on electricity in the country, under the slogan “We serve the people!”
Looking up to him instilling in young people the steadfast spirit of service for the people, the officials pledged themselves to train the young people into vanguard fighters who consider first the interests of the revolution and the people.
