Benevolent Order
One of the days when the Fatherland Liberation War was at its height a Korean People’s Army officer whose unit was engaged in the battle to defend Height 1211 was summoned by President Kim Il Sung.
When he was admitted into the room, the officer made haste to report to the Supreme Commander how his unit was carrying out the combat order the Commander had given.
Casting a kind-hearted glance at him, Kim Il Sung said that he had called him not to hear about his work but to help him have medical treatment.
The officer was surprised. He imploringly told that he could hardly leave his position when they were expecting a huge enemy offensive against Height 1211.
Now Kim Il Sung said in a resolute voice: It is not a simple matter to summon you from your mission and send you for medical treatment when we know that the enemy’s huge offensive is just around the corner. But during your absence we are going to attend to the mission of defending Height 1211 for ourselves. So you’d better leave for medical treatment without a moment’s delay and restore your own condition.
Finally, Kim Il Sung stressed again that he should take it as the order of the Supreme Commander.
It was an order that was possible only for Kim Il Sung to issue, who valued and looked after his revolutionary comrades like his own flesh.
